Maputo Workshop on Fostering Development through Mobile Technologies
The W3C Workshop on the Africa Perspective on the Role of Mobile Technologies in Fostering Social and Economic Development, was held on 1-2 April, in Maputo, Mozambique. The agenda of the workshop focused on the challenges of using mobile phones and Web technologies to deliver services to underprivileged populations of developing countries. Discussions were also followed using #w3cmaputo on twitter.
International experts, local actors, researchers, and NGOs were participating in the meeting, hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Government of Mozambique. DWF and the W3C Mobile Web Initiative (MWI) thank the workshop sponsors for their support.
